There’s no denying it, Shaklee has had a major impact on my quality of life and the healthy, wellness-related approaches that I have chosen to pursue. The “long arm” of Suzanne Chaney reached out to educate and bring me into the Shaklee “family” over 25 years ago.

Growing up, I led an extremely active life through scouting, and youth, high school and college sports and athletics. This background provided awareness and I learned at a young age about the importance of competition, sportsmanship, love of country and the outdoors. It led me to the beginning of what turned out to be a second career in the United States Marine Corps. After completing my initial tour of duty including a full tour in the Republic of Vietnam, I departed my beloved Corps to complete undergraduate work at then, Elon College. I had begun a biology major at Elon prior to my USMC enlistment. Upon returning to campus I changed my major to physical education & health with a minor in biology. Anatomy, kinesiology and overall physiology had always captivated me. So, where did I end up? I am proud to say that I recently retired after 39 years in the public parks and recreation field and as for my second career…..I retired from the USMC Reserves as an Officer after remaining affiliated for another 24 years.

For me Shaklee has been there with me…..energizing and stabilizing me to such a high degree that I am very comfortable in saying that Shaklee has enhanced my performance on a consistent basis……whether confronted by the cold snows and winds in Norway, the hot suns and sands of the Mojave Desert or the many board rooms and council chambers of local government.
